Before long, I was spending more time defending my words to her than actually writing. My productivity dwindled, as I overanalyzed every word only to find more fault. Deadlines loomed, but I avoided my writing tools, occupying myself with anything else to escape her critical gaze.
Eventually, I locked her away temporarily and found my creativity soared. Reluctantly, I let her out, only to return and see my morning’s work harshly marked in red pencil?"a sight that pushed me over the edge.
