What Should You Do?
Many books, like Robin Sharma's, suggest that money isn’t essential for happiness. But can we really do without it? Personally, I can't. So, I sought guidance from my neighborhood Rabbi, hoping to find clarity.
The Rabbi led me to a window and asked, "What do you see?"
I replied, "I see people moving about, and a blind man begging."
He then took me to a mirror. "And now, what do you see?"
"I see myself."
He smiled, explaining, "Both the window and the mirror are made from glass. But the mirror has a thin layer of silver, so you only see yourself."
