Travel Light
Summary:
If you often return from trips with unworn clothes, you're not alone. Like many, I had to refine my packing skills to proudly call myself a "light" traveler.
I vividly remember preparing for my first overseas journey, spreading out everything I thought I needed. The bed was overflowing with clothes, and the floor was no better. The reality hit when I realized my "perfect-sized" suitcase could barely hold a third of it all. I laughed at the sight?"my room was a chaos of clothes compared to the small suitcase. Faced with an impossible task, I began to eliminate unnecessary items. Three pairs of gloves? Excessive, even in cold weather. Four pairs of jeans became two, and so on. After sorting, I managed to fit everything into my medium-sized carry-on and felt a sense of achievement.
Since then, I've packed and repacked countless times. While I'm no expert, I've improved my ability to judge what can realistically be packed. For those who have struggled or are planning a trip by plane, train, or ship, my advice is simple: travel light. Not only will you make room for new purchases during your vacation, but you'll also be able to carry your luggage more easily.
Even now, I sometimes find items I didn’t use. But I'm a much better backpacker and can manage those long waits without straining myself. Good luck with your packing, and most importantly, enjoy your travels!
