Accommodation and Amenities
We stayed in a garden suite, and several features left a lasting impression. The large plasma TV with surround sound, the spacious and extremely comfortable bed, and soft pillows with bedside controls allowed us to enjoy the view without leaving the room in the morning.
The air conditioning was effective without being overwhelming, though we preferred using fans and enjoying natural breezes.
The bathroom was a standout. My wife, who values bathroom quality highly, was impressed by the two rain shower heads in a separate shower room. The towels and separate WC were also exceptional.
For relaxation, the large, comfortable terrace was perfect. Ample closet space and plenty of hangers were additional comforts my wife appreciated.
Dining Experience
Food is a crucial part of any vacation for us, and the Esencia did not disappoint. Breakfast, included in the rate, was not your typical hotel buffet. Instead, it was ordered from an extensive menu and delivered elegantly. Before breakfast, a coffee service with pastries was provided right to our suite at our requested time.
Dinner in the garden restaurant was a delightful experience. The menu offered various choices, including about six desserts and plenty of fish, which suited our tastes. While the wine list was impressive, it was a bit pricey.
Beach and Surroundings
The beach experience was sublime. It was easy to find sun loungers, even though the hotel wasn't crowded during our visit. The padded loungers and prompt beachside drink service were notable perks. The beach itself, with its white sand and crystal-clear waters in shades of blue, green, and turquoise, was exceptional. Although there were a few rocks, the swimming conditions were excellent right next to the hotel.
Adjacent to the hotel is El Cielo, known for some of the best seafood and margaritas on the coast.
Exceptional Service
What truly sets Esencia apart is its remarkable service. The staff mastered the ability to be present yet unobtrusive. They quickly learned our names, eliminating the need for constant paperwork. Our running bill appeared magically in our room at regular intervals, allowing us to keep track effortlessly.
Attention to detail was evident throughout our stay, making our time at Esencia particularly special.
