Discovering America Through RV Adventures
My husband and I have been retired for three years, and we love traveling across America in our RV. This mode of travel allows us to truly experience the country, beyond just seeing it from the interstate. Staying at RV parks provides a unique opportunity to meet people from all walks of life and discover different lifestyles across the nation. We've encountered some of the most fascinating individuals during our retirement travels.
While staying at a park in California, over two thousand miles from home, we met a couple who surprisingly lived just a mile from us. Despite being neighbors, it took this trip for our paths to cross. Our newfound friendship has even led to occasional joint travels.
Branson, Missouri, is another place we've visited multiple times. On one memorable stay, we ran into my husband’s cousin?"someone he hadn’t seen in two decades! We had a fantastic time reminiscing and catching up. To our surprise, we discovered that their son works for the same company as ours.
About a year ago, at a Biloxi RV park, we befriended a lovely couple from Nashville, Tennessee. They later invited us to visit them, and we got to experience the Grand Ole Opry and explore hidden gems in the Nashville area that only locals know about. It was a truly unforgettable vacation.
Through our RV adventures, we've made many new friends across the country. Some visit us at home, and others meet us at parks elsewhere. Traveling the United States this way has been an incredible journey, allowing us to connect with the wonderful people who make this country so special.
