Danielle Weiss, formerly a tour leader at G.A.P, currently holds the position of Sustainable Tourism Coordinator. As we discussed sustainable travel, I learned about her intriguing background and her passion for the adventure and eco-travel industry. Danielle earned a degree in environmental studies from the University of Waterloo, traveling to Guatemala and Costa Rica during her college years. She will recount stories of surviving on a dollar a day. During one stint in Latin America, Danielle connected with G.A.P Adventures and became a tour leader, traveling continuously for 12 months. In our upcoming interview, Danielle will share insights from her travel experiences and life on the road.
Now based in Toronto, Danielle has advanced to become G.A.P’s Sustainable Tourism Coordinator after holding several roles at the head office. Her work positively impacts numerous Latin American communities, showcasing how individuals and businesses can support people in need.
