While a new airstrip might offer a fourth choice soon, I doubt it would be her preference either.

Guludo Beach Lodge is stunning. The deserted beach invites you to dive into the warm, crystal-clear water, which we did before exploring our accommodations.
The lodge offers spacious tent-like bandas on raised platforms, with thatched roofs and openings on both ends. These are lined along the oceanfront, offering breathtaking sea views and seclusion. The open-air marble and bamboo showers enhance the rustic charm. Locally made, comfortable furniture includes a large carved king-sized bed with mosquito nets, alongside essentials like a washbasin and wardrobe.
Rustic Comforts
Guludo operates without electricity or running water. Hot water is delivered in the evening for showers, and the sun reheats it during the day. Morning brings hot shaving water, coffee, and cakes ?" a basic setup that works reasonably well, though I missed my electric razor.

A Few Downsides
The shared toilet situation ?" one between two tents ?" could have been inconvenient, but fortunately, the adjacent tent was vacant during our stay. This arrangement might work better for families sharing a tent.

The on-site restaurant, which also serves as a bar, and a small seating area, cater to the limited number of guests, given there are only nine or ten bandas. The culinary offerings, including freshly caught seafood, fruit, and home-baked goods, are nothing short of exceptional. You might even witness local fishermen bringing in your next meal!
Beach and Activities
Ranked among the top twenty beaches in the world, this pristine, deserted stretch of sand is calm, clear, and safe due to offshore islands. However, low tide can leave the water quite shallow.
Ultimately, Guludo Beach Lodge is an idyllic escape, ideal for a four or five-day post-safari retreat. For those interested, there's also the opportunity to spot elephants in the surrounding areas.
