Dear Daughter,
In my last letter, I shared some thoughts on how to guide your life. Today, I want to continue by discussing another crucial aspect: our spirituality and relationship with God.
If you sincerely pray and ask God to use your life for His purposes, your prayers will be answered. This involves submitting to God and being willing to walk through the doors He opens for you, opportunities to serve Him and others. Also, pray for wisdom and insight to recognize these open doors.
Prayer is real, as are God, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus. Sometimes, it might feel like God and church are merely social functions, but they serve as support and encouragement for Christians. This is one of the church's purposes.
The visible aspects of church are real, but so are the invisible ones. When you pray, your prayers are heard. However, prayers often become routine, lacking the respect they deserve. Imagine you could only pray once in your lifetime. Would you approach it differently?
Prayer is powerful and your direct line to God. The Holy Spirit assists by communicating your deepest thoughts and needs, even if you can't express them. This is why prayer is powerful.
Answered prayers shape our lives. From my experience, prayers are often answered through the opening and closing of doors. While some may see this as coincidence or luck, with hindsight, you'll realize these events are too connected, revealing God's hand in them.
I hope you pray. Approach each prayer with the mindfulness of that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. You have God's attention, and He wants to hear from you. Don’t forget to praise God, acknowledge His greatness, and express your love for Him. Also, thank Him for your blessings before presenting your needs and the needs of others.
As you navigate life, ask God to guide you through your teenage years, dating, and eventual marriage to a godly partner. Pray for God to use you for His greater purposes.
In conclusion, our lives are shaped by choices, random events, and God's intervention through prayer. We can choose to drift or influence our path through prayer and wise decisions. I hope you choose wisely, and know that I am always praying for you.
