Article Body:
Many of us grapple with a sense of lack ?" be it time, opportunities, or relationships. Often, we unknowingly use these painful conditions as teachers, drawing us toward the realization of our Oneness with God. Instead of being pulled by Vision, we let pain push us, believing we are separate from the Source of all. Tormented by feelings of insufficiency, we might:
- Numb the pain with work, substances, or addictions.
- Resign to a life of quiet desperation, believing we deserve punishment.
- Frantically search for solutions like changing jobs or relationships.
Eventually, these methods fail. Feeling defeated, we reach a breaking point, burdened by pain, and finally surrender to "Let Go and Let God." This moment is powerful because it's when our ego's solutions run dry that our hearts open to God's Grace. Always waiting, this Grace answers our prayers. Embracing it means learning through Vision and Inspiration rather than pain. As a mentor once told me, "When you have nowhere else to turn, you become teachable."
From the Low Road to the High Road: My Personal Journey
I was once a long-time student at the School of Pain. For over 40 years, I felt like a victim of my circumstances, convinced I was being punished. I believed financial struggle defined me, blaming everything from the economy to God for my situation. The balance in my bank account dictated my self-worth.
During financial lows, like having my ATM reject me because my balance was under $20, my self-esteem plummeted. I thought life was meant to be a struggle ?" and then you died!
But, a pivotal moment during my daughter’s wedding changed everything. Unable to contribute financially, I felt immense shame and despair. Reduced to tears, I questioned my misfortune. In my darkest hour, a gentle voice asked, "What are you grateful for?" Startled, I replied, "That I'm breathing." A sense of calm washed over me.
The voice continued, "Will you surrender your problems and trust Me?" With nothing left to lose, I surrendered. "Be grateful," the voice said, "and watch miracles unfold." That day, I unknowingly enrolled in the School of Vision.
The support I received was overwhelming. Everywhere I turned, gratitude flowed. A sister quietly offered money, my son paid for breakfast, and an idea for a perfect gift came to me. Each "Thank you, God!" opened the door to more abundance.
The School of Vision
In this school, I learned that we are guided by Divine inspiration. Here, we're taught through intuition and imagination to understand our true purpose. We discover that the universe works for our highest good, and with God, all things are possible. By practicing gratitude, intention, forgiveness, tithing, and surrender, I learned that what I give out, I receive.
As You Give, So Shall You Receive
The Happy Ending
On my daughter's wedding day, I was buoyed by gratitude. Miracles poured forth ?" offers of financial help, opportunities for connection, and inspiration for gifts. As my gratitude deepened, so did the abundance I received.
In the School of Vision, we major in five spiritual "Gifts": Gratitude, Intention, Forgiveness, Tithing, Surrender. These principles transform consciousness and help us see beyond appearances to the wealth of life's true possibilities. By practicing gratitude even amidst pain, we connect to a greater reality.
Our purpose becomes clear: to express God’s abundance. As we embrace these gifts, we realize our greatest purpose: to manifest divine expression.
