Discover how God transforms the impossible into reality through faith. In Genesis, He performed a miraculous act for Abraham, a promise that seemed unattainable.
Genesis 15:5-6
5 Then He took Abraham outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars?"if indeed you can count them.” Then He said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”
6 Abraham believed the LORD, and it was credited to him as righteousness. (KJV)
God declared that Abraham's descendants would be as countless as the stars, a promise made when Abraham and Sarah were beyond childbearing age. Despite the apparent impossibility, God assured Abraham it would happen.
So, what was Abraham's response? He believed God wholeheartedly. In the Bible, belief translates to action based on God's word. Abraham's faith prompted two divine responses.
First, God recognized Abraham's faith as righteousness, meaning he was cleared of all guilt. His belief in God was credited as liberation from past sins.
Secondly, God fulfilled His promise by giving Abraham and Sarah a son, Isaac. Isaac later fathered Jacob and Esau, continuing the legacy.
If God could perform such miracles for Abraham, He can certainly do the same or more for us. Nothing is too great for God to achieve on our behalf.
As Christians, we are grafted into the Abrahamic blessings. By acting on God's promises to the Abrahamic Seed Group, we invite His miracles into our lives.
When we act in faith, our Heavenly Father is ready to respond. It is reassuring to know that just as God did for Abraham, He will also fulfill our needs today.
