End of Time: Will Your Beliefs Matter to God?
Summary:
The question of "What is truth?" has puzzled humanity for ages. In Christianity, Jesus declares Himself as the truth (John 14:6), a concept many agree on. However, with countless interpretations of truth, how do we know what to believe?
Article:
The question of "What is truth?" often lingers in our minds. In Christianity, Jesus offers a clear answer: He is the truth (John 14:6). Yet, with so many interpretations, how do we discern the right path?
Consider the varied beliefs within Christianity: The Roman Catholic Church claims to be the true church. The Baptists teach that baptism occurs after salvation. Meanwhile, the Seventh-Day Adventists honor Saturday as the Sabbath. These differing doctrines raise the question: Is there a definitive right or wrong?
Imagine standing before God on Judgment Day and finding out baptism is indeed necessary. What if God denounces certain practices as abominations or considers the day of worship crucial? Could these seemingly trivial matters be significant?
The Bible provides insight into these dilemmas. Take the story of Lot's wife, who became a pillar of salt for looking back at Sodom (Genesis 19:26). Her fate reminds us that disobedience can have severe consequences. Similarly, II John 1:9 warns against straying from Christ's teachings. Do some religions go too far? Could yours be one of them?
The Bible urges adherence to sound doctrine (II Timothy 4:3, 1:13). But are people truly committed to this, or are they following tradition blindly? II Timothy 2:15 encourages us to handle the word of truth accurately, without letting personal opinions cloud interpretation (II Peter 1:20-21).
Many denominations are simply branches of the same tree. People often remain in a church because of tradition or familiarity. Yet, it's vital to question whether your beliefs align with divine truth. Will stubborn adherence to tradition impact your salvation?
Jesus Himself warns that not everyone who calls Him "Lord" will enter heaven. Only those who do the Father's will are welcomed (Matthew 7:21). If even the righteous may falter, what of the rest?
Isn't it time to thoroughly examine your beliefs and those of your church? Seek out the truth, not just for yourself but for your loved ones as well. Let’s hope God’s grace covers those who resist change on Judgment Day.
The wise person questions himself; the fool others.
