Validating Our Calling and Election

Preachers of the gospel are meant to live by it. Paul had the right to support like Peter and other apostles, yet he chose to preach freely, aiming to win souls through selflessness rather than selfishness.
Recognizing True Teachers
Beware of false teachers who manipulate doctrine for personal gain, deceiving those less knowledgeable. True followers of Christ demonstrate faith, virtue, and the fruits of the Spirit. As Matthew 7:16-18 says, "You will know them by their fruits." A true Christian displays these traits, not for judgment, but to show genuine intent.
The Coexistence of Saint and Sinner
Scripture acknowledges the coexistence of saint and sinner within the same community. Jude 1:12-13 describes these influences as destructive, yet it advises compassion in Jude 1:22-23: "And on some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire."
Self-Examination
We must judge ourselves, ensuring we bear the marks of our faith. In 2 John 1:9, it says, "Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son."
Final Exhortation
To conclude with 2 John 1:10-11: "If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds." Let us follow Christ, not the world.
