I remember the first time I asked my wife on a date after years of neglecting this practice. Her surprise was palpable, and for a moment, she looked at me as if I were a stranger. I planned it carefully: her favorite band was playing nearby, so I got tickets, arranged a babysitter, and invited her to dinner and a concert. She loved it, and all night she glowed with happiness.
Since then, I've committed to at least two dates a month. Sometimes, we dress up for a night of dinner and dancing. Other times, we keep it simple: visiting our favorite bookstore, enjoying coffees, and sharing a love for books. Those moments, where nothing matters but being together, are my favorites.
So, whether you've been married for three months or thirty-three years, make it a habit to date your wife. You'll both be glad you did.
