Do You Know a Southern Hero?
Recognizing Southern Heroes
You don't have to be from the South to recognize a Southern hero. In fact, you might know one without even realizing it. These heroes are individuals who make Southern communities stronger, safer, and more united. They could be dedicated teachers, courageous firefighters, tireless volunteers, or selfless parents. If you know someone like this, a leading wireless company wants to hear their story.
For the past two years, SouthernLINC Wireless has highlighted exceptional public servants in the South through its Southern Heroes program. As part of this initiative, the company donates to each recipient's chosen charity.
In the aftermath of recent hurricane seasons, acknowledging the South's unsung heroes has become more crucial. Many individuals emerged as heroes, whether they offered shelter to those affected by Hurricane Katrina, aided in community rebuilding efforts along the Gulf Coast, or organized fundraisers for victims. SouthernLINC Wireless seeks to honor these heroic acts.
"In the wake of the devastating 2005 hurricane season, we are more committed than ever to celebrating those who truly embody the spirit of a Southern hero," said Bob Dawson, president and CEO of SouthernLINC Wireless.
If you know a Southern hero, take a moment to share their story. Visit [southernheroes.com](http://www.southernheroes.com) and submit the short online entry form between August 1 and August 31, 2006. Entry forms are also available at any SouthernLINC Wireless retail location. To find the nearest store, check [southernlinc.com](http://www.southernlinc.com). In September 2006, five Southern Heroes will be recognized and awarded. SouthernLINC Wireless will also contribute $2,000 to each winner's chosen non-profit organization or charity, totaling $10,000 in celebration of the company's 10th anniversary.
If you know a Southern hero who made a difference during Hurricane Katrina, SouthernLINC Wireless would love to hear their story.
