As a stage hypnotist, I can ask someone to imagine the audience as having a different appearance. I'm merely interacting with the part of their experience they create themselves. This principle is useful in various situations. For example, I can suggest to someone afraid of public speaking that the audience is friendly and supportive. This alters the 70% of their experience that they are constructing, making them more at ease.
Applying This to Everyday Life
What if you decided to focus on seeing opportunities? If you consciously think, "The world is full of opportunities, and I will notice them today," you can influence the larger part of your perception that you control. Just as you suddenly see more people driving your car model, you might also start seeing new opportunities.
Try it. By changing the way you view the world, you may find more success and positivity in your life. After all, if you can notice more cars like yours, who’s to say you can’t notice more opportunities coming your way?
