In a vivid dream, I visited a nearby city for an important appointment. After finding the correct building, I entered and saw a young lady behind a long desk. Assuming she was the receptionist, I approached her, but before I could explain my purpose, she said, "Please wait. I must leave for a few minutes," and promptly left.
As I waited, the phone began to ring incessantly, almost demanding my attention. Unable to ignore it any longer, I picked it up, planning to inform the caller that the receptionist would be back shortly. "Hello," I said. A friendly voice responded, "Hi! Good morning. May I speak with Mr. Seymour, please?"
"I'm sorry, sir," I replied. "The receptionist just stepped away for a short while. I'm actually waiting for her as well."
"Could you please ask her to give Mr. Seymour a message when she returns?" he requested.
"Of course," I agreed, nervously eager to help.
"Please tell Mr. Seymour that Godfrey called. I've been discussing the Wittersham account, and they are very interested. Mr. Wittersham is on his way to sign the necessary papers." I assured him I'd relay the message, and he thanked me before hanging up.
When the receptionist returned, I conveyed the message. She then led me to an office where a distinguished-looking gentleman sat at his desk. Standing up, he introduced himself as Mr. Seymour and invited me to sit.
Mr. Seymour explained that his company would purchase our products if one of his largest accounts, the Wittersham Company, agreed to distribute them. He shared insights about Mr. Wittersham and his company, which had grown from humble beginnings to industry leadership. Wittersham was known as a conservative and exacting man, uninterested in most topics except the sea, which he could discuss for hours.
Pleased by my visit, Mr. Seymour advised, "Make sure you tell Wittersham about your early days by the ocean."
Suddenly, I woke up, the dream still vivid in my mind, keeping me awake for quite some time.
