Just as you like it. And, to set the record straight, I haven't been swallowed by eternity. I just live there."Startled, I looked up and couldn't believe my eyes?"it was my long-lost friend, Gideon. I nearly knocked the coffee off the tray, frozen in disbelief at Gideon's wide, grinning face.
Handing me the coffee, he said, “I didn't mean to startle you. You didn't think we were gone for good, did you?" After the initial shock, the first words out of my mouth were, “Gideon! Is it really you? I was just thinking about you and Marla. How are you here? How did you...?”
Before I could finish, he placed his hand on my shoulder and said, “It's been a long time. Do you mind if I sit and we catch up?”
“Please, sit. Tell me, where have you been? What have you been up to?” I asked, as he settled into the seat beside me.
This unexpected reunion left me both astounded and eager to hear about his journey.
