I replied, “Perhaps it would mean less violence and more peace, less greed and more generosity, less grief and more happiness.”
“Don’t you consider those emotions too?” she asked.
“Well, maybe, but aren’t some unhealthy?”
“Emotions are emotions, healthy or not,” she responded. “Life’s river flows between two banks?"one of prosperity, happiness, peace, and pleasure, and the other of sadness, poverty, depression, and pain. Problems arise when one gets stuck on either side. Life is a continuous flow connected to the sea of tranquility, the oceans of eternity, and the skies of forever. It must keep moving. Spending some time on each bank is normal, but avoiding stagnation is crucial. Remember, John, we're all on a journey in the Fields of Forever.”
