The idea is simple: what we focus on, feel, and act upon, we attract. Think of it as a recipe for success, not "the" recipe, but "a" recipe. Missing any of these components reduces the chance of achieving your goals.
The Power of Focus
Having mental focus is crucial. Whether it’s writing down your goals, displaying them prominently, or using daily affirmations, focus sharpens your path. But focus alone isn’t enough. Without genuinely feeling what it would be like to achieve your goals, even the most powerful affirmations won’t bring results.
Balancing Feeling and Action
Similarly, strong emotions paired with action are vital, but without direction, you may burn out without making progress. Consider race car drivers: inexperienced racers fixate on the curve and often end up crashing. In contrast, experienced drivers focus in the curve's opposite direction, avoiding it entirely. Are you concentrating on problems or solutions?
Consistent Action
Even with focus and emotion, consistent daily action is necessary. Without it, you’ll consistently fall short of your goals.
Trust the Process
After doing everything possible, place your faith in the natural process. Trust that things will unfold as they should. Consider planting a flower: would you dig it up in frustration after a week? Patience and trust are part of nurturing both plants and dreams.
The Importance of Service
Finally, embrace the hero’s role by serving others. Helping others and creating value leads to a fulfilling life. While we can attract what we want, giving back enriches us and prevents the emptiness that often comes from self-centered pursuits.
