Gideon knocked and entered, with Marla and me trailing behind. The room was elegantly simple, with the same celestial blue carpet I remembered. The once large desk and office files were replaced, giving it a more living room-like feel.
As we stood, a stunning young woman entered from a door at the opposite end. I’d seen many beautiful women, but none as captivating as her. She must be God’s secretary or assistant, I thought. Her grace was almost regal, her dress shimmering like a rainbow, accentuating her face’s beauty. Spellbound by her presence, I simply stared.
"Please sit," she invited with a gentle voice and warm smile. We made ourselves comfortable?"Gideon and Marla on the sofa, and I on a straight-back chair. Oddly, she chose to sit on the floor before us, even though other chairs were available. No introductions were made, perhaps an oversight. Marla and Gideon exchanged amused glances at my bewilderment, though I found nothing funny in the situation.
