New Age Spirituality: Morning Has Been All Night Coming (Part 29)
Embracing Simple Truths and Finding Joy
Once again, I found myself putting the cart before the horse, assuming the tail was wagging the dog. This realization led me back to the simple life lessons I learned from Gideon: live one day at a time, make the most of what you have, and love and support one another. Embracing these truths filled me with immense joy. It was as if a fog had lifted, allowing me to see the world in vibrant clarity. I had been living in the past without truly embracing the present moment.
As I continued my walk, the world around me came alive. The trees seemed more vibrant, flowers appeared more beautiful, and butterflies danced gently around me. A passing motorist waved and smiled, adding to my newfound sense of connection. I picked up a pinecone and playfully tossed it at a lamppost?"a simple act that filled me with youthful delight. I felt alive and in harmony with the world.
When I reached the usual turning point of my walk, I paused to admire the sky. It was a brilliant shade of blue, with clouds playfully chasing each other. The wind rustled through the grass, and a distant dog's bark echoed. I felt as if I had stepped into a whole new world, though it was the same one I had always known. Examining my hands and feeling the sweat on my brow, I realized I was part of a greater universal order. Despite life's pressures sometimes obscuring this order, it remained gloriously present every moment.
