I Want It Now!
Summary
Have you ever found yourself thinking, "I want it NOW"? When we really desire something, the urge is so strong that we want it immediately. We declare to ourselves and to the universe, "I’m ready. I want this now." But if it doesn't happen right away, we wonder, "Where is it? Why isn’t it here yet?"
The issue is that when we want something intensely and instantly, it indicates an attachment. It’s as if our happiness and success hinge on having it right now. While it may sound exaggerated, this mindset can often be seen in our actions. I, too, have experienced this. :)
When we become attached, we grow tense. This tension blocks the flow, and what we desire doesn’t come. We then focus on "why isn’t it here yet?"?"which highlights our lack. Focusing on absence attracts more of what we don’t want?"like the absence itself. Understand?
So, what's the secret?
The Key to Letting Go
Recognize when you want something NOW; it’s a sign of attachment. Pause to accept this feeling. Recognize the associated emotions, like disappointment at not achieving your goal yet. Once you accept where you are, you have a choice:
1. Choose to be happy and enjoy your life, regardless of when or if your desire materializes.
2. Remain tense, disappointed, or even angry that your efforts haven't produced results yet.
It truly is a choice. Your happiness doesn’t depend on this one thing?"you've convinced yourself it does. Instead, focus on the other wonderful aspects of your life and continue to create joy, even if this particular goal doesn’t happen on schedule or at all.
You can still desire it; just choose to enjoy life regardless. When you are genuinely joyful and loving your life, you reach an energy level where anything is possible.
So, choose to enjoy your life today and make the most of whatever is happening right now.
