The Underlying Cause of Nervous Breakdowns
Below is a MRR and PLR article in category Self Improvement -> subcategory Stress Management.
Understanding the Root Causes of Nervous Breakdowns
Life often presents us with challenges that involve various forms of loss. Whether it's the loss of a relationship, finances, health, self-esteem, or love, these experiences can leave us overwhelmed with anxiety, depression, and stress. When these feelings become too intense, they may lead to a nervous breakdown, rendering us unable to handle daily responsibilities and cope with life's demands.
Why Do Some People Experience Nervous Breakdowns?
Why does one person suffer a nervous breakdown while another, facing equal or greater difficulties, remains functional and even optimistic?
Consider a child experiencing a significant loss, such as the death of a parent. A child can only navigate this loss with the support of a loving adult. Without such support, the child may shut down, potentially leading to poor performance in school. Conversely, when a child is not alone in their grief, thanks to the support of a caring adult, they can manage their emotions more effectively. The same principle applies to adults. Feeling accompanied in times of loss enables us to cope better, while feeling isolated exacerbates our struggles.
The Importance of Not Feeling Alone
Not everyone can rely on constant support from family and friends during tough times. Those who are lucky enough to have emotional and financial support are indeed fortunate. However, many lack such support and must find strength from within. It's essential to cultivate an inner source of love, our resilient and spiritually connected Adult self. Those who navigate loss effectively often do not feel alone because they have developed this inner strength.
Developing a Loving Adult Self
I define the loving Adult as the part of us that remains open to learning and connects with a spiritual source of love, wisdom, and guidance. This part nurtures us in times of fear and grief and acts from spiritual truths rather than ego-driven falsehoods. Just as children cope better with loss when supported by loving adults, our inner child manages better when assisted by our strong, spiritually connected Adult self. With this connection, we are never truly alone and are continually sustained by spiritual guidance.
Beyond Spiritual Connection
Having a spiritual or religious connection isn’t always enough. Without using this connection to foster our loving Adult self, we may lack the capacity to provide self-love and comfort, especially during overwhelming times.
People who experience nervous breakdowns often lack the influence of a loving Adult in their lives. They can function when everything is smooth, but life’s inevitable challenges can cause them to unravel. Without the guidance and comfort of a loving Adult, they may feel too isolated to manage loss.
Practicing Inner Bonding
The Inner Bonding process is a powerful method for developing a strong loving Adult self. By consistently practicing Inner Bonding, this loving Adult naturally evolves. We can build enough personal power and spiritual connection to sustain us through difficult times, rather than being at the mercy of life’s obstacles. Practicing the six steps of Inner Bonding is like saving for a rainy day?"with each practice, managing life’s challenges becomes significantly more achievable.
