Change demands strength. For many, it poses a formidable challenge. Yet, the Lord invites us to transition from our old ways to His ways?"a task that’s far from simple!
Scripture encourages us: “Put off the old man and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; put on the new man, created in righteousness and true holiness” (Eph. 4:22-24). “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind to discern the perfect will of God” (Rom. 12:2).
In today’s fast-paced world, where technology evolves rapidly, adapting to change is inevitable. As we age, we grow more set in our routines, making us less responsive to external demands. Adapting to new habits can lead to stress, particularly for older individuals.
However, when the Lord requires change, He equips you with the power to evolve. The outcome? A stronger, more powerful you! Some hesitate, feeling unready to commit, not realizing that with the Lord, transitions can be smooth and peaceful.
Your love for Him inspires adjustments. He has gifted you the Holy Spirit as a comforter and guide (John 14:26). By surrendering your life to God, you become a vessel for His purpose. Change is not solitary; He shapes you, the clay, into something beautiful. All that’s needed is your willingness to reflect His image.
The transformation begins in your mind. Align your thoughts with Christ’s, immerse yourself in His Word, and old habits will naturally fade. In the past, ignorance kept you from God. Now, knowing the Truth, you’ll desire to shed old vices and renew your mind with His Word.
In addition to the Holy Spirit, God provides tangible support through the church. Here, you find community and guidance for spiritual growth: “for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, and for the edifying of the body of Christ” (Eph. 4:12-13).
I pray, like Paul, that you’ll be strengthened by His Spirit, with Christ dwelling in your heart through faith. As you become rooted in love, may you understand His Love and be filled with God’s fullness. He can achieve far more than we ask or imagine, according to His Power within us (Eph. 3:16-20).
