My Journey with Inner Compass NLP Training
A Roller Coaster Ride of Emotions
Have you ever experienced the thrill of a roller coaster? The whirlwind of emotions, swiftly shifting from one to another, encapsulates my experience with Inner Compass's NLP training programs, including Practitioner, Master Practitioner, and Trainer Training.
How It All Began
In the summer of 2005, I embarked on this journey after a friend's recommendation piqued my curiosity. They mentioned Andy Harrington's fire walk rivaled that of Tony Robbins, so I decided to explore further. I signed up for a free NLP event with Inner Compass to see what it was all about.
First Impressions
The free event made quite an impression. Harrington's use of stage anchors and suggestive language was fascinating, yet I was solely focused on enrolling in the NLP training. Despite his efforts to entice me into a breakthrough weekend, I remained resolute and approached him about the training.
Convincing the Skeptic
It took a few conversations and some convincing from his team to part with a couple of thousand pounds. They assured me their NLP training surpassed the McKenna/Bandler approach. The decision was not just about acquiring knowledge but also about immersing myself in an engaging experience, complete with a sense of family and community.
The Magical Experience
The training was indeed magical. I gained confidence in my skills, formed wonderful friendships, and addressed personal challenges. Initially, the goal was to enhance my hypnotherapy practice, but I discovered a passion for teaching on stage. My love for performing and a background in musical theater made this seem like the right path.
An Unconventional Path
My journey did not follow the usual route of Master Practitioner followed by Trainers Training. A singing exam coincided with the Master Practitioner schedule, so I opted for Trainers Training first. Despite this unconventional order, I kept pace with fellow delegates, many of whom were already Master Practitioners.
Mixed Experiences
The Master Practitioner course didn’t captivate me as much. Perhaps it was the emerging challenges within Inner Compass or the contrast after the rigorous Trainers Training. Yet, completing the grueling 12-day Master Practitioner course and passing the Trainers Training exam in just four hours was a fulfilling achievement.
Reflections
I cherish my time with Inner Compass. Every course ended with bittersweet goodbyes, and now it feels like we're bidding farewell to a place filled with love and magic forever. I'm grateful for everything I learned and the memories I made along the way.
