There were times during my classes in Guatemala when I felt bored or frustrated. To alleviate these issues, the school offered group conversational lessons and encouraged students to play word games like "Hangman" or "What Am I?"
Mixing different types of learning activities helps prevent boredom. Word games are enjoyable yet effective ways to practice Spanish while breaking up the routine. Group conversations build speaking confidence, and listening to fellow students reassures you that others are learning just like you. It's also a great opportunity to test your knowledge by identifying correct or incorrect sentences.
Enjoyment is crucial when learning, and the school in Guatemala arranged various group activities after lessons. Activities like visiting a local coffee plantation, biking, or dining out provided fun and informal settings for practicing Spanish.
