Article Body:
Being young brings its special brand of excitement, especially on a Saturday night in college. Gathering with your equally bored friends often leads to memorable experiences that defy the ordinary.
College life frequently comes with the challenge of limited funds. Yet, it’s remarkable how you can always find ways to enjoy a drink or a casual poker game. Even when your budget doesn’t stretch to cover food or a real cash game, there's somehow always enough for a few drinks or a case of beer.
In such times, my friends and I found entertainment in a game called Five Card Poker Shots. It wasn't about money but involved shot glasses for everyone. The rules were simple: each player is dealt five cards and can trade up to three. Everyone except the player with the winning hand has to take a shot.
I remember a particular night when vodka was our drink of choice, thanks to our host, Tommy, who had two bottles in his kitchen?"or so we thought. My roommate, Jimmy, was there, and he added his own brand of excitement. Known for his love of poker, and an even greater love for drinking, Jimmy was always up for a challenge, and he'd relentlessly tease those who couldn't handle their liquor.
That night, Tommy sat beside Jimmy and offered to pour the drinks while someone else dealt. Little did we know, Jimmy was about to have a surprise. As the game progressed, Tommy filled the glasses, and Jimmy confidently declared, "Drink up, losers," as he tossed back his shot. But as we all drank, the group exchanged puzzled looks while Tommy silently communicated something to everyone but Jimmy. Unfazed, Jimmy taunted us, confident he'd outlast everyone.
Recognizing Tommy’s secret gesture, we continued playing and chatting as the bottles slowly emptied. After about an hour, Jimmy began to wobble in his chair, making strange noises and struggling to keep it together. Midway through what must have been his 15th shot, he started to get sick, complaining of feeling unwell. He stumbled over to the couch and passed out, giving Tommy an opportunity to grab a couple of pens and his digital camera.
You can guess what happened next. It turns out Tommy had filled one of the bottles with water and only poured real vodka for Jimmy. That night, it was clear who the real lightweight was.
