Why I Started Snowboarding Classes
Introduction
Let me share why I decided to take snowboarding classes and why you should consider it too. Learning a new skill brings a great sense of well-being and leads to countless hours of fun and enjoyment.
My Inspiration
At 16, I was captivated by winter sports on TV. Surprisingly, it was my love for sledding that sparked my interest in learning a winter sport. Where I live, snow is rare, making sledding a treasured activity. Inspired by watching snowboarding and sledding on TV, I decided to take the plunge into snowboarding.
Why Snowboarding?
You might wonder why I chose snowboarding over skiing. The main reason was my friends?"many are snowboarders. While our local slope accommodates both, the choice was ultimately mine. Snowboards felt more responsive to me, offering a thrill that skiing didn’t.
The Experience
Our local ski slope is a mere 100 meters long, about 300 feet. On skis, this short run seemed less exciting unless it involved a complex slalom. Snowboarding, however, felt like a wild ride. Though skiing is fun, snowboarding's adrenaline rush appealed to me more. After learning to snowboard, I even started picking up skiing for a change of pace. Skills like using the lift and handling speed transferred well between both sports.
Conclusion
I loved my snowboarding lessons. Although I'm not as skilled or dedicated as some of my friends, the enjoyment is what matters most. If you’re thinking about trying snowboarding, go for it?"you might just love it as much as I do.
