New Chevy Racing Campaign Launches During Daytona 500
As NASCAR's best gear up for the 2006 racing season, Chevy Racing is set to celebrate its track triumphs with an exciting new advertising campaign debuting during the televised Daytona 500 race.
With an impressive record of 25 wins in the last 33 Manufacturers Cup Championships, Chevy plans to highlight its dominance in one of America's favorite sports. The campaign introduces Team Chevy, a prestigious club featuring some of NASCAR's brightest stars, all driving the Chevy Monte Carlo SS racing machine. Retaining its "American Revolution" tagline, Chevy adds a dash of humor to its new ads.
The first commercial, titled "Toast," features racing icons Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Tony Stewart. They celebrate Team Chevy's victories by incorporating a lively NASCAR tradition: spraying champagne. In a cheeky twist, they also shower the enthusiastic fans with champagne, bringing viewers into the exuberant celebration.
The second spot, "Office," showcases Chevy's racing prowess through the eyes of Racing Director Terry. He struggles to find space for Tony Stewart's latest trophies, only to discover that every inch is already filled with awards, highlighting Chevy's consistent success.
"Chevy Racing is all about a passion for racing and winning," said Ed Peper, Chevrolet General Manager. "Deutsch found a simple, clever way to convey that message with a few great humorous twists."
Fans will get their first look at this exciting campaign during the NBC broadcast of the Daytona 500 on February 19, 2006. The ads will air nationally on NBC and Fox, with print ads appearing in USA Today and various racing program guides.
Chevrolet stands as the bestselling automotive brand in the United States, boasting the country's largest dealer network. As a leader in full-size trucks and sales of vehicles priced above $35,000, Chevy offers striking design, competitive pricing, and spirited performance typically found in higher-end automobiles.
