My Passion For Playing Snooker

My Passion for Playing Snooker
Playing snooker is one of my greatest passions. I first fell in love with the game in the 1980s, inspired by legendary players like Alex Higgins and Jimmy White.
At around ten years old, I received a five-foot snooker table for Christmas, one of the best gifts I've ever had. I spent countless hours playing on it, often inviting friends over to join in the fun.
By twelve, I joined a snooker club with a close friend and started playing on full-sized tables. The sheer size made the game much more challenging, but I was determined to improve. Initially, I aimed for a break of ten, which later became a break of twenty.
Snooker became a significant part of my life. Whenever I had spare time or cash, I would practice at the club, sometimes even alone. My ultimate goal wasn’t to go professional like Higgins or White, but to achieve a break of one hundred.
Over the years, I participated in many tournaments with varying success, winning twelve minor local events. I also joined a league team, playing most Wednesday evenings during the snooker season.
After fifteen years of dedication, at the age of twenty-seven, I finally scored my first century break. Incredibly, I managed another just a week later?"just like waiting for buses!
Although my determination has waned a bit, I still love the game. Achieving another century break remains elusive, but the passion for snooker continues to be a joy in my life.
