Originating at Flaming Gorge in northeastern Utah, the Green River winds through Dinosaur National Monument, traverses central Utah's deserts, and eventually merges into the Colorado River. The Flaming Gorge area remains prime for fishing, offering both scenic beauty and great waters.
It seems this part of the river has gained significant attention from magazines and other sources. Now, the river is teeming with various visitors, and jet skis are no longer a rare sight. While white-water rafting has always been popular, the surge in kayakers and other activities is noticeable. If the river got any busier, a traffic cop might be needed!
Paradise Found?
Don’t get me wrong, the river belongs to everyone. It's just disheartening when a once-hidden gem becomes overrun. It's a classic case of paradise lost.
Despite the increased activity, the fish are still biting, with Browns and Rainbows being the highlight. Perhaps my visit coincided with a particularly hectic day. Regardless, the Green River's beauty ensures that even a bad day feels like a win. After all, I could've been at work!
