This engaging poster, titled "Underwear, Zombies & Monkey Kung Fu," targets 12- to 15-year-olds and offers a playful look into the bizarre realm of dreams while subtly emphasizing the "coolness" and necessity of a good night's sleep.
Arthur Grehan, AIM's executive director, stated, "Kids in this age bracket are dealing with a lot, and many parents don’t recognize how vital sleep is for success in various areas."
Crafted in an unconventional style, the poster aims to captivate its young audience. "We wanted to create a funky and engaging poster about dreams that would promote deep sleep to a skeptical audience without resembling a textbook or filmstrip," Grehan explained.
The poster provides insights into deep sleep, explores dream symbolism, and even encourages keeping a dream journal. For its development, AIM collaborated with Red Deluxe, a Memphis-based firm renowned for its award-winning posters.
AIM offers free copies of the poster to any teacher or parent, hoping it spurs parents to pause their busy routines and consider sleep's crucial role in their children's lives.
