Recipient of three Emmy nominations, "Hunter" is celebrated as one of the leading action/detective dramas of its era. Like Tom Selleck's "Magnum, P.I.," Fred Dryer's "Hunter" captivated audiences with his unique persona and on-screen charisma, helping the series enjoy a successful nine-season run. Created by Frank Lupo, who was also behind hits like "The A-Team" (1982) and "Battlestar Galactica" (1978), "Hunter" revolves around the familiar trope of a maverick cop who bends the rules but remains indispensable due to his skills.
