**Are You Homeless? Does Your Soul Have a Home?
By Joseph Ghabi**

When you see homeless people on the street, what emotions arise? Many of us feel a twinge of disgust or avert our eyes entirely, dismissing them as irrelevant. Some may stereotype them as addicts. We interpret their lives in various ways, ultimately viewing them as less fortunate.

However, others understand that a series of unfortunate events might have led them to this situation. The pressures of society may have driven them to homelessness, leaving them feeling misunderstood or out of sync with societal norms that ignore deeper soul connections. These individuals might find the mundane world overwhelming and struggle to find meaning.

Interestingly, not all homeless people lack financial resources. There are instances where homeless individuals have been found with substantial wealth in the bank. Yet, they choose or end up living on the streets. The question remains: why are they still considered homeless?

I looked up “home” in the dictionary and found this definition: "An environment providing security and happiness." Reflect on this?"many who live under a physical roof aren’t necessarily secure or happy. Are we truly more fortunate because we own property? Despite material possessions, we still face personal challenges. What difference is there between a homeless person drowning their sorrows in alcohol and someone doing the same in the comfort of their home? The distinction lies merely in status.

The term "homeless" generally refers to those without a physical dwelling. Yet, the number of homeless individuals is increasing globally while society invests in space exploration and weaponry. Shouldn't our focus be on solving homelessness instead?

For those of us with a roof over our heads, have we considered that we might be homeless in spirit? At first, you might protest, citing your possessions and lifestyle. But reflecting on the definition of “home” as a place of security and happiness, are you truly content? Do you often sense a profound loneliness or feel something essential is missing from your life?

Many experience this void, trying to fill it with material goods, entertainment, or substances. These temporary distractions can’t erase the underlying feelings of loneliness and lack of purpose. We accumulate things, yet our soul's craving remains unaddressed.

We incarnated on this plane because our soul chose to, with a specific purpose. If we fail to live up to this purpose, a sense of emptiness and discontent persists. What stops us from achieving our soul’s goals? Human limitations like fear, ego, and resistance to change hold us back.

Attempting to replace a connection with our soul through materialism only deepens this void. Pretending happiness while feeling miserable inside achieves nothing. Superficial living won’t bring harmony because it’s inherently contradictory, and deep down, many recognize this truth. How long will we continue on this path? Until the end, without achieving what our soul intended? That would be a life wasted.

So, I ask again: Are you homeless? Does your soul have a home? Look deeply at your life. Is this the path you wish to continue on? Life is simpler than it seems; often, we complicate things unnecessarily. Free yourself, act with pure intention, and seek what truly nourishes your soul. Remember, you are never truly alone.
