These will differ for each person and context. Thus, we must define affluence for ourselves. What seems affluent today may not feel the same a year or a decade from now. The aim is to continuously elevate the bar and strive for growth.

For instance, if you’re a financial adviser with clients worth a million today, perhaps next year, your clients will have a million ready to invest. In a few years, you might advise deca-millionaires. Achieving this level of change requires evolving your business and personal wealth mindset.

Persuasion wields extraordinary power. At the start of my career, my clients were college students. As I honed my skills and recognized my worth, I attracted clients with substantial wealth. This growth was linked to my understanding of my value.

To cultivate an affluent mindset, try this exercise:
1. Map your relationship with affluence from 15 years ago, 10 years ago, 5 years ago, and today.
2. Analyze this map and envision the expansive future beyond it.
