Using The Ebay Anything Points Program.
Below is a MRR and PLR article in category Internet Business -> subcategory Auctions.
Using the eBay Anything Points Program
Overview
eBay Anything Points is a loyalty program similar to those you find in retail stores. Buyers earn points on their purchases, which can be redeemed for discounts when paying through PayPal. Points can also be earned by using the eBay credit card or converting frequent flyer miles into eBay points, allowing users to effectively turn unused miles into eBay purchases.
How to Offer Points to Your Buyers
To offer points, visit eBay's Offer Manager and log in. Enter the item number to assign Anything Points to that item.
How It Works
Sellers can choose the number of points per dollar to offer buyers who pay via PayPal. Each point costs the seller 1 cent and is worth the same to the buyer, with no additional fees from eBay.
Example
If you sell an item for $500 and offer 2 points per dollar, the buyer earns 1,000 eBay Anything Points, equivalent to $10. Sellers are charged only when the buyer receives their points, and points can be allocated to as many or as few listings as desired.
Listings featuring Anything Points will display a banner below the description, indicating the points offered per dollar, which buyers can click for more information.
Why Offer Points?
Many sellers offer points to comply with supplier contracts that require them to sell at the manufacturer’s minimum advertised price (MAP). By offering points, sellers can adhere to MAP while providing value to buyers through virtual rebates.
The eBay Anything Points program benefits both sellers and eBay by promoting PayPal as a preferred payment method, encouraging repeat purchases. Sellers also gain visibility on the "Earn Points from eBay Sellers" page.
Additional Advantages
If you purchase items from sellers offering Anything Points, you can use these points to cover your own seller fees. Simply go to My eBay, access Account Management, click Pay, and select the option to pay with Anything Points.
Maximizing Auction Value
If you decide to offer points, aim for the highest possible auction value, letting the buyer essentially cover their own points. Stay tuned for our next email, detailing strategies for timing your auction to maximize returns.
