The issue might be related to how your puppy was housed by the breeder. It's possible she was kept on solid surfaces like cement, where she got used to playing and sleeping near her waste.
Experienced breeders often use enclosures with slats or systems that allow waste to be removed easily, preventing puppies from becoming comfortable with having feces nearby. This early experience greatly impacts housebreaking success. Puppies from such environments can often be housebroken in just three days, whereas others take longer.
To address this, you can set up a yard enclosure on grass for your puppy. By spending ample time there, she’ll learn to prefer eliminating on grass rather than in her crate. Ensure she has access to water, shade, and isn’t exposed to excessive heat.
Additionally, remove her from the crate immediately after any accident to reinforce where elimination should occur.
