Introduction
Hello everyone! It's Jake, the Border Collie, back with more tales from my exciting life. This is a continuation of my earlier story, "Jake's Own Story," where I shared a little about my journey so far.
What’s New
The past two years have been a whirlwind for my mom and dad, but they always made time for me. Whenever they came home, I greeted them with an enthusiastic "Hello!" and wagging tail. I think my excitement helped them unwind, so we’d always head out for a walk, no matter how tired they were. Even short walks were a joy for me because, as a dog, there's always fun to be had.
Summer Escapades
Summers were blazing hot, and as a Border Collie, my black and white fur made it even warmer for me. Thankfully, mom and dad often took me to the beach. There, I could cool off by running at the water’s edge. They'd throw sticks into the water, and I would swim to fetch them. I love swimming so much that I never wanted to leave the water. It’s my cheeky way of getting what I want?"and it’s so much fun!
Winter Fun
Winter brought its own kind of magic. We still visited the beach, but when it was too cold, mom and dad tried to keep me out of the water. Of course, I sometimes “accidentally” ended up swimming by chasing imaginary birds or following mysterious scents. How could I resist?
Exploring New Places
We visited many beautiful spots for long walks. At one place, I had to stay on a leash for a bit, but soon I was free to run anywhere I liked. Sometimes, mom and dad played hide and seek with me. I’d sniff around the bushes, and before long, they’d try to hide. My nose always led me right to them, but I often pretended not to find them immediately to extend the fun.
A Special Holiday
Earlier this year, we went on a fantastic holiday. The drive was long, but it was worth it when we reached a charming country location. There were other dogs there?"new friends who welcomed me. They lived on the farm where we stayed, and we played games together every day.
