MPs are backing Mary Creagh, MP for Wakefield, in her push for legal reform to make anti-scald taps and controls mandatory in baths and showers. Mary Creagh’s campaign has gained cross-party support, including backing from Liberal Democrat MP Annette Brooke, who promotes the ‘Hot Water Burns Like Fire’ campaign, led by actress Amanda Redman.
Additionally, Yvonne Orgill, BMA's commercial director and chairman of the National Home Improvement Council, will present a special needs platform this month in the House of Lords. It will address improved bathroom design for the 10% of the population with disabilities.
