I’ve witnessed people being healed in hospitals, living rooms, and through various methods?"medical, natural, and even without any treatments. Yet, I’ve also seen attempts at healing fail. My experiences, discussions with medical professionals, and in-depth study of Scripture inspired me to write a book on healing a few years ago.
The Bible is filled with accounts of God’s healing power. So, why doesn’t everyone receive the healing they need? This question shifts the focus from wondering if God can heal to discovering how to access the healing He offers.
By examining scriptural records related to healing, several insights become clear. First, God’s healing power is readily available. It’s not reserved for specific groups, ages, or genders; it’s accessible to all. Furthermore, healing from God is possible for every kind of illness, even death!
If this is true, why don’t more people experience healing? This is an important question. The Bible recounts a day when Jesus healed everyone who came to Him. Yet, in another instance, amidst many sick people, He healed only one man. Why didn’t He heal everyone there?
The answer lies in a profound secret to receiving from God. Jesus himself said, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes." This is the key to receiving from God. It’s fundamental to life itself.
This revelation explains why some receive healing and others do not. It highlights the free will given to us by God; He respects our choice to believe whatever we choose.
To receive from God?"whether healing, prosperity, or other promises in Scripture?"one must cultivate belief in His promises. Sometimes belief comes easily, leading to quick reception. Other times, it may require effort. Focusing on why you haven’t received is counterproductive. Instead, strive to reach a point of absolute, unconditional belief in His promises, then expect to receive.
The fundamental and vital key to receiving anything from God is believing in Him, accepting His words as true, and trusting in His ability and willingness to fulfill His promises. Achieving this level of belief will open the door to God’s power, leading to healing and more.
