The box, unnoticed, landed on the window sill before dropping to the ground beside the old dog’s leg. Curious, he sniffed at it, remembering times when he had longed to join in such joy. With one gulp, he swallowed the pills, packaging and all, and waited expectantly.
Before long, he felt invigorated and went to find the neighbor’s poodle. There she was, and soon, they were enjoying each other’s company just as the man above had done earlier.
“Well, old dog,” he might have thought, “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but there’s definitely still life?"and pleasure?"in this old dog!”
