It's Not What You Do, It's How You Do It
Summary
We all have a basic idea of how to lose weight, don't we? But why is it so challenging? Every diet, no matter how excellent, requires one essential ingredient: willpower. Unfortunately, that's something you can’t buy?"it comes from within. Without it, any diet is likely to fail.
There are effective diets available, but not every diet works for everyone. You might start a diet with a friend and see them losing weight while you don’t. It's frustrating, but it’s a reminder that our bodies are all different.
I don't actually recommend strict diets. Cutting calories can trigger your body’s starvation mode, slowing your metabolism to conserve energy. Our bodies are wired from times when food was scarce, and we had to hunt for our meals.
Today, food is readily available, but our bodies still react as if there's a shortage. Skipping meals initiates this starvation response, causing your body to hold onto calories and store them as fat.
The Solution
After extensive research, I believe the solution is to maintain a steady metabolism by eating small, balanced meals every 2.5 to 3 hours. Include protein in these meals?"lean meats like chicken, turkey, or tuna?"which stabilize blood sugar better than sugary foods. Keep your daily calories within recommended levels (you can find this information online).
But diet alone isn’t enough. You need to exercise! Aim for cardio workouts 3-4 times a week for about 40 minutes. Additionally, incorporate weight training. More muscle means more fat burned, even while sleeping. Ladies, don’t worry?"you won’t bulk up like a bodybuilder, but muscle tone is crucial for burning fat efficiently.
Good luck!
