Bathing Ape Opens Flagship Store in Manhattan

Created 11 years ago by designer and music producer Nigo, BAPE blends striking simian imagery with hip-hop culture and camouflage patterns. The brand's limited releases ensure exclusivity, garnering a devoted following among the hip and young. In Japan, eager customers often line up just to enter the store. This New York location will broaden BAPE's reach in the U.S., adding to its presence in Japan, Hong Kong, and London."
Joseph A. Aquino describes the site as having a modern glass facade with nearly 20 feet of street frontage. "91 Greene St. stands out for its continuous pedestrian traffic and proximity to iconic retailers," he adds.
The store is centrally located on a block shared with luxury brands like Louis Vuitton, Armani Casa, Anne Fontaine, and La Perla. Nearby, you'll also find marquee names such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Helmut Lang, and Apple.
In the transaction, Christopher Owles from Sinvin Realty represented A Bathing Ape. As anticipation builds, BAPE's entry into Manhattan promises to be a notable addition to the local retail scene.
