- Setting Stamps: Check the inside of the setting for stamps like "10K, 14K, 18K, 585, 750, 900, 950, PT, Plat," which signify real gold or platinum. This increases the likelihood of the stone being genuine. Also, watch for “C.Z.” stamps, indicating the stone is cubic zirconia.
