After several days of frustration, I managed to restore my computer. Unfortunately, I had to format the hard drive, reinstall Windows, and set up all my programs again, resulting in significant data loss. On the bright side, my computer now ran smoother, since it needed a cleanup anyway.
The lesson here? Always be cautious about downloads. If you don't completely trust a file, don’t run it.
