To begin your CCNP journey, you must first obtain your CCNA certification. After that, you'll have a choice between two paths: the three-exam path or the four-exam path. Both are challenging, so let's explore them further.
Exam Pathways
Four-Exam Path:
1. Building Scalable Cisco Internetworks (BSCI)
2. Building Cisco Multilayer Switched Networks (BCMSN)
3. Building Cisco Remote Access Networks (BCRAN)
4. Cisco Internetwork Troubleshooting (CIT)
Three-Exam Path:
- This path combines the BSCI and BCMSN exams into a single Composite exam.
Recommended Exam Order
Once you’ve earned your CCNA, it's advisable to start with the BSCI exam. The foundational knowledge from your CCNA studies will greatly assist you here, especially as you delve deeper into OSPF and EIGRP, and get introduced to BGP.
