When preparing for the CCNA exam, you’ll encounter several terms that might be either completely new or vaguely familiar. "Broadcast domain" often falls into the latter category for many students.

A broadcast domain is a group of end hosts that receive a broadcast from a given host. For instance, if ten devices are connected to a switch and one sends a broadcast, the other nine will receive it. All these devices are part of the same broadcast domain.
