What is EEPROM?
Overview
EEPROM, short for Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory, is a type of read-only memory (ROM) that can be modified by the user. Unlike standard ROM, which is locked and unchangeable, EEPROM allows for user modifications with a high-voltage jolt of electricity.
