5 Mistakes I Made in 2005 and How I Plan to Improve
Although 2005 was a successful year, I’ve identified a few areas where I could have done better. Here are five mistakes I aim to fix in 2006:
1. Neglecting Self-Care
I confess?"I got caught up in my entrepreneurial pursuits, leaving little time for myself. In 2006, I plan to prioritize breaks and dedicate time for personal well-being.
2. Inconsistent Marketing Efforts
I often put my clients' marketing needs before my own, like the shoemaker’s children who go barefoot. While my business has grown, I wonder how much further I could be if I had marketed consistently. In 2006, I intend to change that.
3. Getting Distracted
My coach, Melanie Benson Strick from Success Connections, warned me about "bright shiny object syndrome"?"chasing new ideas instead of focusing on core systems. This led to many unfinished projects in 2005. I’m determined to stay more focused in 2006.
4. Missing Business Goals
Distractions kept me from achieving some business goals last year. Addressing this will be a top priority in 2006, and I’m ready to cut out unnecessary diversions to achieve more.
5. Delaying Success
2005 was successful due to the right actions, but I regret not starting them sooner. I urge you not to repeat this mistake. Check out my blog on the "5 Things I Did Right" and see if they can benefit your business too. Make 2006 your best year yet.
