The Trick:
Start with a deck of cards held face down, and fan them out in your hands. Invite a volunteer to assist you. As you hold the fanned cards in one hand, use the other to point around the fan. Ask the spectator to say "stop" when your finger is over the card they want.
Reveal the chosen card to the audience, then return it to the deck, handing it over to an audience member for shuffling. You will then reveal the originally selected card.
The Secret:
Before the trick begins, have an audience member shuffle the deck. When the cards are handed back, take a quick glance at the bottom card. This will be the card they "choose."
Fan out the deck again and have a different audience member select a card. Move your finger over the cards and ask them to say "stop" over their chosen card. Place your thumb on top of this card, and with your other hand, gather the cards above it.
As you do this, discreetly slide the bottom card (the one you've memorized) towards yourself. Your goal is to slide both this card and the top group of cards simultaneously, ensuring the bottom card appears as the chosen one.

As an added touch, during the card reveal, hold the deck face down over the table, flipping cards over one by one. When you reach their card, continue flipping a few more before pausing. Claim, "I bet you the next card I turn over will be yours!"
The audience will likely accept, thinking you've erred because their card already lies face-up. Surprise them by flipping their chosen card back over, winning the bet with a flourish.
